New Jersey auto accident involves motorcycle, causes fatality

Riding a motorcycle can bring enjoyment to individuals for a number of reasons. However, that enjoyment also comes with certain risks as motorcyclists are more likely to be seriously injured if they are in an auto accident due to the lack of protection that other vehicles can offer. What may have been a minor accident between two larger vehicles could be a fatal accident when a motorcycle is involved.

Unfortunately for a New Jersey couple, their accident resulted in a death. The couple was reportedly traveling on their motorcycle when a pickup truck apparently turned in front of them. It was reported that the motorcycle was traveling east when the westbound truck attempt to make a left turn. The motorcycle collided with the side of the truck.

Both riders on the motorcycle were thrown from the bike when the collision occurred. As a result, the husband suffered fatal injuries. His wife was also seriously injured, but her injuries were not considered life-threatening. The driver of the truck reportedly did not suffer any injuries, but he was cited for careless driving. Apparently no charges have yet been filed in relation to the incident.

A survivor of such an auto accident will undoubtedly be grief-stricken by the loss of a spouse. The survivor will face a long recovery and medical bills, in addition to needing to make funeral arrangements for their loved one. Because an accident could result in serious emotional and financial strain for the survivor and family members, he or she may wish to pursue a wrongful death case in New Jersey in an attempt to gain monetary reparations that could be put toward damages and expenses.
