New Jersey motorists may know that the morning commute can be a stressful drive no matter what day of the week it is. The only thing that can make the drive to work any worse may be witnessing or being involved in a car accident. Collisions can happen anytime and are caused by any number of factors -- including inclement weather or careless or inattentive drivers.
A multiple vehicle accident was recently reported on the Garden State Parkway to the New Jersey State Police. Upon arrival of authorities, they found that three cars, a truck and a dump truck had, for reasons that are still under investigation at this time, all collided near mile marker 82 at approximately 9:30 am. One 54-year-old woman was reportedly injured in the crash.
The unfortunate woman was transported to an area hospital for a serious head injury that she suffered in the wreck. It is not known which vehicle the woman was in at the time of the accident. No other injured parties were reported in this five-vehicle crash.
While New Jersey State Police continue their investigation into this multiple-vehicle car accident, it might take some time for authorities to determine the cause of this crash. In light of this, who may be at fault is unclear as well. After all of the data has been analyzed, the female victim may file a personal injury claim for damages against the responsible party or parties in this accident. If she proves that her injuries were the result of the negligence of another, she may be awarded damages allowed under state laws.
